Zoe Cohen is a video artist, writer, and educator based in Brooklyn. She uses art to tell stories of invisible disability, girlhood and womanhood, and philosophy, with a cheeky and absurd tone.
She has a B.A. in philosophy from Oberlin College and an MPS from NYU’s ITP. Her academic background in philosophy allows her to be unburdened by assumptions when she approaches a project. Her mediums are hand-drawn animation, paper mache, illustration, and writing. With these fine arts mediums in combination with projection, sensors, LEDs, and mechanical engineering she makes projects that are engaging, educational, and interactive.
