Zoe Cohen is a new media artist, writer, and educator based in Brooklyn. She uses art to tell stories of invisible disability, womanhood, and philosophy, with a cheeky and absurd tone. Her background in philosophy allows her to be unburdened by assumptions when she approaches a project. Her mediums are hand-drawn animation, ceramic, and writing. With these fine arts mediums in combination with electronics, she makes projects that are engaging, educational, and interactive. Her work has been exhibited at venues including Currents New Media Festival, and she has presented talks and workshops on animation and visual storytelling at NYU.
